About the event
The junior vocal competition is open to soloists currently enrolled in grades 9 - 12. Each contestant is asked to perform two classical works of contrasting style or one classical work and one from Musical Theater, for a total performance time not to exceed 10 minutes.
Only one student's entry per Order. A non-refundable fee of $20.00 per entry is due at the time of registration.
If an accompanist is needed, one can be requested for select times. If you select to use our accompanist, please email a pdf copy of your music to southernilyao@gmail.com at the time of registration. A $20.00 cash fee will be collected for the accompanist on the day of the competition.
Judging will be completed and results announced on our website by 9 p.m. the day of the competition.
